We provide comprehensive dental care, ranging from routine check-ups to implants, cosmetic smile makeovers, sedation, orthodontics and oral surgery. We are dedicated to using the latest technology and innovative procedures to give you the healthy, beautiful smile you deserve.

We care for all patients, from young children getting their first teeth, to adult patients looking to refresh their smile. We accept new patients (private, denplan, NHS) and we are committed to making everyone’s visit to our dental practice a beneficial and pleasant experience.

Our team is committed to continuing professional development programmes and quality assurance through clinical governance, clinical audit & peer review, in order to provide you with continued high quality care.

Our practice is enrolled with the BDA Good Practice  quality assurance programme requiring continuous reviews and updates of our quality assurance protocols. By joining BDA Good Practice, our practice demonstrates its commitment to working to nationally agreed professional standards. By taking part we are kept up-to-date with current requirements in order to provide the best care for our patients.

As members, we

  • carefully look at the service that is provided and compare
    it against nationally recognised standards of good practice for patient care
  • be assessed by the British Dental Association
  • regularly carry out internal checks on working methods
  • make the BDA Good Practice commitment.

Our practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission  – “CQC”, who are the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

The CQC make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve. The CQC monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and they publish their findings, including performance ratings to help people choose care.

On the 11th December 2012 the CQC conducted a ‘review of compliance’ at Widney Dental Care. This review looked at how people are being cared for, records of service users, reviewed information from people who use the service and talked to staff and people who use services.

We understand that access to the dental practice may be difficult for some patients and we endeavor to make the practice as accessible as possible. There is dedicated disabled parking outside the practice. All the surgeries are accessible on one level and there is ramp access for wheelchair users to the reception and a lower level area of the reception desk to allow direct communication. There is also a hearing loop system fitted at the practice.


Our facilities include 5 fully equipped modern air conditioned dental surgeries. We also have a reception area and two waiting rooms where we have specially commissioned artwork and exotic plants, as well as a wide range of magazines, newspapers & an interactive patient information centre displaying the latest practice news and any active special offers.

Charges & Payments

We accept the following payments: Cash and most major debit and credit cards. For long or complex treatments we may require you to pay a deposit when the treatment commences.
